Information

Monthly Branch presentations, are open to the public and are held at 1pm on Saturday afternoons, except in July and August, at the City of Ottawa Central Archives, 100 Tallwood Drive (near Woodroffe). Announcements of the place, date and guest speakers for the monthly presentations are listed in the Ottawa Branch News, on this website, notice boards of local libraries and in the media.

Prior to the formal start, we usually have a half hour for socialization with coffee, juice and cookies. The meeting starts with a short business session of announcements and reports by the Chair and certain committee coordinators. Guests and new members are welcomed, and asked to identify themselves and the various surnames they are researching. At the end of the business session, a guest speaker or special activity on topics of interest to the members is presented.

Many of our presentations will be webcast and you can join us from afar by using the following url: https://genealogicalstudies.adobeconnect.com/ottawaogs/

Free parking is available to the south of the building with access from Tallwood Drive, to the west of Woodroffe Ave.
