How do I request a marriage for Adam Van Valkenburg and Anna Diamond who were married on April 2 1811 in Ottawa?

I am not even certain if they were married in Ottawa. I am from Michigan and cannot make the trip to Ottawa to look at microfilm, etc.

I followed some of the links and they appear to be “dead links”(form for payment).

Thank you so much for transcribing and making available online the 1851 census extracts from the “Green Family Collection”. I found my ancestor Julia Stephens as Governess in one of the Greene households – much excitement!

Sorry, I can’t identify the book that you want from this description. Most our the items that we have published are cemetery or census transcriptions. There is nothing about Vars listed in our publications list or our library catalogue, so if we did publish it, it is now out of print.

The cemetery transcription was a project of the local SFOHG Branch. There is a copy of the burial records (not sure how late it covers) at the City of Ottawa Archives. http://ottawa.ca/en/rec_culture/museum_heritage/archives/index.html

I would be keen for you to suggest a professional geneologist to help me complete my search for the Moore family’s Irish origins. I have been able to trace to William Moore (died May 27 1897) married to Catherine Moore (nee Smith). They had 9 children one of whom was William Joseph Moore (my grandfather) born 1870 and married to Ida ( nee Spallin) Moore. Married in Wakefield Que. June 11th 1902 at St. Andrew’s Wakefield. One of their sons was Joseph Sterling Moore who was my father.
